Liar, Liar -- Gary Paulsen
Fourteen year old Kevin is a masterful liar. He is so believable. He has Katie convinced that he has a mystery disease and can't help with their group project. He's convinced all his teachers that he's involved in sports management, the newspaper, and drama so he can follow Tina, the girl he has fallen in love with. (She has no idea.)
At home, he has straightened out his Auntie Buzz's financial situation without telling her. He's caused his sister and brother to fight, losing their car keys for a week.
Eventually, as they tend to do, his lies catch up with him.
